Upon opening the software, then a new project is to be created. The majority of settings can be left in default setting, however there are 3 things that you will need to take attention to:

  1. Register the Pr file name: name the Pr file in the format of the bride’s name & groom’s name_editor name. e.g. Linda&Tony_Henry
  2. Register the Pr file saving path: save the file in the original footage folder in our NAS system
  3. Upon confirm all the details are correct, click confirm to go into the editing window of the Pr

Upon logging into the next screen, firstly, click on the Assembly tab on the top of the window, this will take you to the ‘import & sort’ tab of the Premiere pro that it designs for wedding videography editors. You will then find the bin on the left-hand side, the monitor on top right corner and the timeline down the right-hand bottom.

Then it is time to import all of the wedding videography footages into the bin: locate the folder in the NAS system, and simply drag the entire folder into the bin.

For a typical Aussie wedding, you would expect to find two folders which contains wedding video footages from the main camera and the B camera as well as several audio files. The software will sync the footages by paring their audio track, and generate a timeline xmp file which later you can import into the Adobe Pr for a synced sequence.

  2. Located all footages of A & B Camera on a certain formality in the NAS folder (e.g., ceremony)
  3. Import footages into the Media column of the PluralEyes 4
  4. Click on ‘synchronize’ button, upon loading all footages the software will begin the synchronization automatically
  5. Sync complete
  6. Save the PluralEyes project file in the wedding videography project folder in NAS
  7. Export timeline xmp file in the project folder located in NAS
  8. Import the xmp file into Adobe Pr bin

After the synchronized timeline is imported, it will lead to a new video sequence in the Adobe Pr which is different to your original main timeline for the actual live footage. I recommend edit the formality in the new wedding video sequence and copy and paste the trimmed video footages back to the main timeline when finished.

Now we are going to discuss the outlines and requirement of the live footage editing: as we are aiming to provide a smooth and pleasing viewing experience to our clients, we don’t need to apply any creativity to the editing rather than removing any flaw from the footages.
