As a Geelong wedding photographer, At the Heads is one of my favorited wedding venues at this region. The venue’s architecture and design are carefully curated to provide a sense of rustic sophistication. Characterized by charming weathered wood, open spaces, and large windows that invite the outdoors in, At the Heads offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its coastal setting. Just onsite, couples will have a lot of opportunities for their wedding photography more than beach and ocean views.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE
Our customary practice involves coordinating a pre-meeting two months in advance of the wedding day. During this meeting, we engage in thorough discussions with Matt and Steph, delving into the intricate details of their wedding day plans.
The getting ready: The preparations commenced at a conveniently located accommodation nearby. As the groom and his mates got dressed, they enjoyed a cheerful round of mini golf, adding a playful touch to their pre-ceremony moments. Meanwhile, the bridal preparations began with the celebratory pop of a champagne bottle. A particularly touching moment was when the bride’s mother delicately placed the veil, encapsulating a beautiful blend of emotions and anticipation.
The wedding ceremony: Positioned on the wooden decking with a panoramic view of the ocean, the groom stood in anticipation. Walking down the aisle, the bride followed the path guided by adorable children, and the groom’s eyes glistened with emotion, on the verge of tears. This poignant moment was deeply touching and undeniably romantic. Throughout the wedding ceremony, a sense of harmony prevailed, weaving together touching moments that resonated with profound emotion.
The wedding photo location: Strolling along the beach, their hair tousled by the gentle breeze, the couple shared light-hearted moments with their lively bridal party, resulting in some amusing and playful photographs. Amidst the candid shots of the couple walking through the garden, a serene and tranquil atmosphere prevailed. The addition of exciting music as they walked along the jetty introduced another layer of dynamics and energy to the captured photos. As the night descended, a truly unique and heart-warming group photo was captured amidst a spectacular display of fireworks. This enchanting moment illuminated the celebratory spirit and added a touch of magic to the wedding memories.
