Attended an event here and this venue is just sensational. Everything about it exudes excellence and history. A group of us attended and we were not disappointed from the quality of the food, drink and friendly service. It is also worth having a close look at the architecture of this ballroom too, its just fantastic. The atmospheric lighting that lit the space took our experience to another level. Well done to all involved.
Gorgeous venue for a work Christmas party. The food and wine were excellent this year (an improvement on last year) and the serving staff were great, although our "drinks manager" tended to disappear from time to time and some people at our table had to go and look for her.
This is such a beautiful and elegant venue for a special function. I was here for the Starlight fun raiser as a volunteer to help children with serious illness and to grant them the special wishes. The Starlight Foundation always looks for new volunteers for these special events.
The Plaza Ballroom provided our organisation with exemplary service, food and beverages for our awards gala night. I highly recommend the Plaza for any special occasion.
An amazing iconic venue in the heart of the city. Beautiful provenance and dates back to the 1920s and captures all the glitz and glamour of the point end of town. Excellent live band Baker boys with a wide repertoire and an excellent auctioneer rounded off the excellent food and a great result for a very worthy charity. Money well spent
Excellent place. Serves and staff. Lamb was exquisite, chic not so much.Security and wait staff Excellent...Well done..

As a DJ & MC for over 15 years, this is one of the most incredible venues in Melbourne! Every time I get a booking here, I'm beyond rapt! The venue and each room is fantastic, the food & service is amazing and overall, it’s a beautiful venue and the event managers and staff are always on top of everything and make you feel comfortable working alongside you. I’ve been doing this for many years and when a venue displays high levels of service and quality, it’s important for people to know – highly recommended! - DJ Miki
The reception manager here is really helpful! She got our camera team up to date with the reception schedule and took good care of us.I also really love the interior here. So much space and really beautiful. Very easy to get great video footage and photos. Check out my phone photos for reference. The wedding video I shot is a lot better, but this is all I can share at the moment.
We catered a corporate party for their DJ need last 17th June. It was fantastic! Emily was very responsive during the planning stage and answered all are questions. The place was amazing too. Great food and great view of the city.

The interior spaces exude a sense of refined luxury, with contemporary furnishings, polished surfaces, and minimalist aesthetics. Attended an event at Metropolis recently and found the venue cosy, bright and spacious due to its high ceilings. Food was pretty good; glazed ‘cherry’ dessert was lovely though the black angus eye fillet was a little dry. Coffee was amazing and staff were friendly.
A beautiful venue with plentiful natural light, high ceilings and delicious food. I have been to this venue for a corporate event and a wedding - their Avery room is suitable for both round or long tables.
Metropolis Events has been our dream venue and we did not make a mistake in choosing this beautiful place to hold our reception. It's been a pleasure working with the team at Metropolis Events (Natasha Rowe) who have made it such an easy process. The views of this reception is spectacular and is the perfect place to celebrate your forever!
We worked at this amazing venue recently and can not speak highly enough about the staff, service, food and place itself! Being a supplier for the night, they welcomed us so warmly and ensured we had everything we needed to get our job done. If you are searching for an awesome venue to hold your next function/wedding.. look no further!
Thanks so much to the whole Metropolis Events team for hosting out Easy Weddings Evolve '23 wedding industry conference. The venue was absolutely stunning, with incredible views from Southbank, and the event went off without a hitch.
Had the most incredible wedding at Metropolis. Most of the guests said it was not only the best wedding they had ever been to but the best food. We did plates of food on the table rather than alternative drop and it was a massive hit. The food was restaurant quality and there was so much it didn't all get eaten. Service was exemplary and Georgia was excellent and responsive the whole way through. I could not recommend this place more highly. The views, the look, the ambience, everything. It was perfect. Went without a hitch and had the night I never thought I could have.
Metropolis Events had always been our dream venue and we couldn’t be happier when we got to lock in our special day here. It was such a breeze working with the team – everyone were extremely accomodating and helpful along the process, especially our coordinator Natasha Rowe, she was such a blessing to work with. She took care of everything before and on the date, liasing with our suppliers so we could fully enjoy the moment. There is not enough word to describe the beauty of this venue – such magical, dreamy, luxury. The sound and lighting system was extraordinary and not to mention the prime location!Look no further, this is your dream wedding venue, to create many lifetime memories.
We truly cannot thank Metropolis enough for giving us our dream wedding! From the beginning, Georgia was so incredibly kind, thoughtful and attentive. She was beyond helpful throughout the entire planning process, taking all my little ideas and concerns without any hesitation. Words can't express our gratitude, not only to Georgia but to the entire staff. The guests could not stop raving about the food, venue and service. It was impeccable. The entire day was truly perfect, and the entire Metropolis team gave us a wedding we will cherish forever. Thank you all.
From the very first moment we got in touch, our experience with Metropolis was absolutely phenomenal. Not only is it an incredible venue, but the team are outstanding. We had the amazing Georgia as our event planner, and we are SO thankful we had such a professional, passionate and knowledgeable expert on our side holding our hand along the way. Georgia was attentive, patient, accommodating and no question asked was ever too silly. She took the time to explain things to us, and as a real expert in the field, gave her valuable opinions and advice along the way. The way Georgia coordinated everything for us on the day was spectacular. We had a specific vision for the details of our wedding and Georgia understood every aspect. We were absolutely blown away when we walked into the room for the first time on the night – it was executed to perfection and came to life even better than we could have imagined! We know a lot of hard work would have gone on behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly and that is an absolute testament to the incredible work of Georgia and her team. On the night, the service was impeccable, and we received so much amazing feedback from our guests. We also had the fabulous Lyn as our bridal attendant and wow – we really couldn’t have asked for anyone better! She was brilliant. She looked after us throughout the night, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything and was such a delight to have around. Overall, we had the most amazing experience with the Metropolis team and would absolutely recommend them to anyone wanting to bring their dream wedding to life! Could not fault a thing!!

Look I am going to keep this review short and sweet. The service was excellent but the rooms were a little dated for a 5-star hotel and could use a bit of a refresh. However I must say the beds were very comfortable!
I highly recommend this High Tea to all. You need to book and try the Waiting Room at the Crown for a High Tea for any occasion. It was more than I expected. Excellent service, wonderful ambience and lots of variety and interesting sweets. This High Tea outdoes any other and served with a smile. The added touch that others don't have was the box of macaroons to take home which everybody loved.
Went to Crown on our wedding night and got upgraded for free to the Crystal suit. Had the best and most friendly service and the room was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the city.
Stayed here 2 nights and had a really good experience. Everything was good, not great. The room is nice and spacious but there was one problem. The power points were limited and they were in very awkward spots. The gym was great though, very well equipped and had everything that most people would need to do a workout.Service was attentive and sorted any concerns promptly. The location was great, easily walkable to the CBD and Southbank. The only thing lacking here is a bit of style, it's own quirk, but otherwise you'll enjoy your stay here.
Fantastic hotel to stay in, and the view from the rooms is fantastic, as you can see all over the city and the level of customer service is fantastic as they bring your bags up your room if it isn't ready for you and also they have a swimming pool where you can see over the city and also the sky you can see over it and also sit out on the balcony of the sky to take in the those breath taken views of the city at night or day and the beds are really comfortable and the rooms are spacious.
As for entertainment value this is a fantastic place and is highly recommended, from a variety of restaurants to fast food, shopping, karaoke, cinema, live music and if course the casino, the accommodation part of it adds well if you are deciding on a weekend away or a night away to chill,
Nice to catch the fire show along the river at night. Starts from 7pm in Sept/Oct, just after sunset and goes every hour until midnight.Lots of dining options and a beautiful place to stroll by the river at night.
Was so beautiful from the outside walking around restaurants were full of people enjoying themselves. Then, when you entered the casino, it just went on and on amazing 👏 as it was my first time very overwhelmed with excitement must see.
Quite dimly lit, and very loud, but lots of fun. Drinks at the bar are very expensive. We didn't check out any of the restaurants, but spent an enjoyable afternoon. Cashing out is very easy, you can either use one of the automated machines, or line up to be assisted by a teller. We were lucky enough to still end up ahead, even with all the drinks we purchased, but you definitely shouldn't be here regularly, because it would be far too easy to lose a lot of money.
Crown Metropol, amazing rooms, clean and spacious, great views of the city, especially at night with all the different coloured lights surrounding the city precinct. The staff and services are great, and the infinity pool and spa areas are extremely inviting. There is a lift guard on duty at all times, which is very reassuring.
We went to Crown Melbourne to access the Gold Class cinema.Inside the complex is great with so many cafes and restaurants open for food and drinks. There are a lot of designer shops inside to purchase clothing etc.The Casino is inside if that interests you.It is an excellent place to enjoy and spend time.I truly recommend trying this complex you won't be disappointed.
I must say, every visit to Crown Casino Melbourne is an absolute blast! The atmosphere here is nothing short of exhilarating, and it never fails to deliver the best vibes in town. From the moment you step foot inside, you're immediately greeted by a sense of excitement and energy that is simply infectious. The casino floor itself is a spectacle to behold, with its dazzling lights, impressive architecture, and the constant hum of activity that keeps you engaged throughout your entire stay. The variety of entertainment options available is truly remarkable. Whether you're in the mood for thrilling casino games, indulging in delectable dining experiences, or catching a world-class show, Crown Casino has it all. The diverse range of restaurants and bars cater to every taste and preference, making sure your culinary journey is just as memorable as your gaming adventure. But what truly sets Crown Casino apart is its commitment to providing top-notch service. The staff is incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. You truly feel like a valued guest here, and that kind of hospitality goes a long way in ensuring an unforgettable experience.I've had the pleasure of visiting various casinos around the world, but Crown Casino Melbourne undoubtedly stands out as a shining gem in the crown (pun intended). It's the perfect place to unwind, have fun, and maybe even try your luck a little!
Nice place of entertainment and good place to spend some time when you come to visit. It’s pretty quiet on weekday afternoons. But I love it quiet 😅 so I enjoyed the peace while playing the games. If played strategically and not impulsively, can earn some (not a lot but better than nothing or losing) quick bucks.
What an absolute delight this place is.One of the best part is that extremely central to almost everything within the city. In addition to that, there are so many things that you can do inside the Crown facilities itself. It’s beautiful, luxurious and comfy. Staff is so courteous and attentive.Would recommend highly of this place.

The Ian Potter Centre is amazingly curated and put together. The first nations artworks in the Wurrdha Marra exhibition are interesting and wide ranging. But the real treat of this centre of Australian Art is the second floor where the permanent collection is displayed. Personally, the 19th century paintings didn't do much for me, but the exhibition gets incredibly impressive midway through the 20th century. The rooms are curated by time, style or even colour pallette and has been one of the most fascinating art museum visits I've had in Australia.
An absolutely insightful, meaningful and innovative museum showing Australian art from the 18th century to the 21st century with an emphasis on indigenous aboriginal artists. The exhibitions and art works provoke conversation and helps to bring a step closer towards dialogue. The centre feels modern and is quite comfortable with plenty of staff to guide you and direct you to where you need to go. The galleries are well spaced out and doesn’t feel rushed. Adequate toilet facilities on every level. And best of all the admission is free!
Here is another batch of viewing art collection. It is more on contemporary art, using modern techniques and resources. Aside from artworks, Shaun Gladwell: Passing Electrical Storm was available to the public. It was new, unique and relaxing for me.Basically, this place gives another kind of perspective from the artist of today.
Art is more contemporary which is not really my area of interest. Nonetheless it was a good visit and expose us to Australian artists' works.Best of all, entry is free and conveniently located.Seats around the gallery are mainly very low sofas. Very difficult for the elderly to sit and get up from. The gallery should consider getting some more elderly friendly seats.
Enjoyed the Melbourne Now! Exhibition- a wide range of traditional art, Pottery, textiles, installations etc. All laid out in spacious rooms with respectful staff & central in town for traffic hubs, well worth a visit.
We visited the Melbourne Now exhibit which was wonderfully curated by the most talented artists in Melbourne and beyond. The galleries are easy to navigate and makes for a great visit for when you're waiting for your flight as the cloak room accommodates for all your luggage.
The Ian Potter Centre at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne is a must-visit for art lovers. The collection is extensive, with a range of contemporary and historical Australian art, as well as a great selection of Indigenous art. The gallery is well-laid out and easy to navigate, with each exhibit having plenty of space to appreciate the works on display. One of the highlights is the Indigenous art exhibit, which showcases a rich variety of styles and mediums. It is evident that the curators have made an effort to respectfully present the works and the stories behind them. The contemporary art exhibits are also a delight, with works from some of Australia's most prominent artists. The building itself is an impressive feat of architecture, with its modern design and use of light and space. The gallery is situated in Federation Square, making it easily accessible by public transport and a great starting point to explore the city. The Ian Potter Centre at the NGV is a world-class art museum that does an excellent job of representing the diversity of Australian art. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is definitely a must-see attraction in Melbourne.

Very beautiful venue. The food provided was delicious especially the pork belly entree 😍. The fat melted in my mouth. This venue is very hygienic and there is plenty of space inside if you want to book an event for a large sum of people. My favourite aspect of the place is the windows because the sun shines through and you can watch the sunset.
The Park was a fantastic choice for our conference gala dinner. The spacious decor, attentive staff and breathtaking views made it a standout venue. Highly recommended!

The functions rooms were fantastic, large space, Stage, Well equipped toilets, Bar and outside undercover area, Smoking/vaping area. Close to accommodation, The city and Albert Park Lake.
Our experience with The Park and working alongside Mariana was absolutely amazing. We had our wedding there in May and couldn't have wished for a better evening. Common areas are nicer than the rooms which are very dated. The shower and the tub in the bathroom were both very small. Would consider this a 4 star hotel. Amenities were nice. One of the best hotel gyms I’ve used. Breakfast was decent but they had 50 people in queue when there were tons of tables, and it seemed they were struggling to keep the buffets full. Concierge was very nice and helpful. Overall wouldn’t stay there again. Feels like my grans house, but her furniture is in better shape.
Perfect location to be close to the city but on the south side of the river so you get views of the city and can see the moon rise. Our room had river views which was lovely. Hotel seems on the formal side, well appointed rooms of a standard size. Bed was good.
Very lovely hotel. Big beautiful rooms. Comfortable bed. Good bathrooms.Coffee machine did not work and when it did the coffee was horrible. Room service very slow, however staff were all very friendly, approachable and helpful.Bath was a nice touch, but small. Nice to see there were some toiletries supplied. The place was clean. Both inside and outside the room.Buffet breakfast was cold. All their hot food was cold. For this reason I would highly recommend to eat elsewhere.Cocktails great. You will drop some money staying at this hotel .
Food was average. Not as much as before 2019.Seafood was fresh, but fried noodles and dumplings were dry.Staffs were nice, especially the chef who served at the sashimi station. He was nice and showed my friend, who cannot eat raw fish, how to enjoy flame-grilled salmon. Very thoughtful of him. Rated highly because of him.
To the Manager currently at the Langham Hotel on 24.10.23. You have made my husband’s and I our 25 wedding anniversary a lovely experience. I can’t thank you enough. Your customer service is beautiful and rare.We have not been to Melbourne for over 14 years and we really wanted to come back. I found this Hotel on Wotif. I have not been disappointed in anyway. Only met with a great time and memories. The whole place was perfect and you sheets were like butter to sleep in. Thank you so very much. Jodie and John O’Brien

I Must Say I am very impressed with the Service offered by The langham Hotel from the concierge and The Lunch was a fantastic experience, the food is just amazing, nice selection of menu, the staff are lovely, very professional and high standard. Thank you! Look forward to come back!
We had the best time at Langham Melbourne. I booked wit my American Express with the Luxury Fine Hotels Deals. Definitely Value for money, we felt like we were treated as VIP, they upgraded us with the best view of the city and the river. The staff are amazing very accomodatinga and helpful, The food and buffet are also great, and the facilities as well! I also had an amazing massage at chuan spa!We definitely come back to Langham!
Totally in love with this place, location is awesome, walking distance to everywhere. I had been a regular many years ago and was great to come back. Breakfast buffet is 5 stars plus, Room Service the same !
We are visiting for our first year anniversary and my wife’s 30th birthday. We have stayed in a lot of places around the world and this would be up there. Staff were friendly , rooms are clean with nice facilities which include a gym, sauna and steam room. The buffet breakfast had heaps of options. The location is close the crown casino precinct or if you want to go the city it is a short stroll across the bridge. Thank you to Douglas Tay for his hand written welcoming card and a plate of fruit + Tuscany water, it was a nice touch. We will be back 🙂
Gift for a friend s special birthday and we decided to book too , didn’t get our room until after 3-30 and calling repeatedly , when we collecting keys for our room the girl In reception was out right rude, had to call for our luggage , one piece was missing one went to wrong room . Our lunch was delicious, staff there were amazing . Rooms quiet dated. They took our bond for both rooms on my credit card ( normal)$200 and wait time to get back 5-7 days no mention that it takes that it takes that long to get back, most hotels after they check rooms , Very disappointing experience and there processes are as dated as the rooms would not stay again for over $535 dollars no breakfast definitely not worth it ! We paid for chocolates to be in our guests room on arrival they arrived a few hours later after we called. We paid $125 each plus drinks for lunch it felt like it was run by a different company it was great .The Langham hotel experience was a complete disappointment .
I haven’t been to Melbourne for a long time. Maybe it is expected level of service. But I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the service and a small gym facilities at the Langham. I was offered a late checking and managed to have another cup of coffee while listening to some classical piano play

From the moment we walked into San Remo Ballroom we fell in love. The location was perfect the venue was stunning and how can we forget the friendly faces that welcomed us. Within minutes we knew this was where we would be having our wedding. Over the past 13 months all staff members have been welcoming, approachable and always willing to assist. Laura, who was our coordinator, was remarkable she was not only attentive she generally cared and wanted to make our day the best it could be. Leading up to the wedding Laura went above and beyond on multiple occasions and made our experience enhanced. Massive thankyou to the team at San Remo but especially to Laura.
San Remo is such a nice and spacious venue. Staff are amazing and always helpful. Love doing my special fx at San Remo. Staff and managers are automatically only lighting and aircon. Such a good vibe!!
We booked our wedding here back in 2020 before COVID changed the world. During the uncertainty everyone at San Remo was really supportive. When COVID allowed; the San Remo team looked after us on our Wedding Day. Great venue, great team.
Great fun to celebrate our Class of 23 Formal at a reception which was nicely spaced out in terms of tables and a decent dance floor for those who had their dancing shoes on.Friendly staff, great service and meals of entre, main, desserts.Thankyou 😊
A beautiful venue, super friendly staff, well organised and the food was fantastic! BUT…The acoustics in the place are horrible. For music, it’s fine but for speeches no one can hear a thing, so everyone starts talking and then it just goes south from there. You need 20 little speakers around the room for speeches then you can change to the big 6 for music. It shouldn’t be that hard, the technology has been around for decades. It’s a great way to ruin an event.

Attended a wedding where we had a wonderful time. Specifically the venue is wonderful with a stunning backdrop of Melbourne. The food was very well presented and the staff were very attentive and looked after us extremely wellA great place to have a special event
Such an iconic location.Attended a function.Food and service were amazing!Views were amazing. It was funny there were people fishing near the outdoor area 🤣Buy parking; a couple of cars had tickets when I left 😬
From the moment we walked through the doors we knew Carousel was the perfect wedding venue for us! The views over the lake were such a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and our guests loved the delicious food, the impeccable service, and of course the lovely scenery.Daniel was a stellar events manager who made every effort to understand our requests, communicate responsively, and help ensure that everything ran smoothly on the day, which made the whole process as stress free as planning a wedding can get. We'd thoroughly recommend Carousel as a wedding/events venue and secretly hope our friends will get married there too so we have an excuse to revisit (: Thank you so much Daniel and team for making our wedding day truly special.(p.s. if you're getting married here, the dessert table is 100% worth it! do it!)
There's currently a great pop up called Lakeside at Carousel which has excellent seating and a huge TV to soak up all the Tennis action. It's a great place to detour during your walk around the lake.Food is pretty average quality, drinks are a bit overpriced but the atmosphere and location are excellent. There are heaps of chairs, tables and recliners, or BYO picnic and set up on the grass (but beware the swans!!)

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at Glasshaus Inside after having our ceremony at Glasshaus Outside. The events manager Georgia was an absolute dream to work with. Very responsive and incredibly helpful being across all our vendors and keeping everyone up to date with everything. She made our life incredibly easy leading up to the big day. Both venues had dedicated venue managers on the day which were equally as incredible. Our wedding day ended up being much hotter than expected and without us even asking they organised bottled water for all our guests. Paul the owner and florist was so amazing on the day and day before the wedding, giving us a lot of his time finalising all our flowers for the wedding and even checked in multiple times during the event, he popped into the reception to wish us congratulations which was really nice. We couldn't reccommend Glasshaus highly enough.
This place looks adorable from outside, but unfortunately whenever i go there its closed. Google says it closes at 4pm from Tuesday to Friday however thats not the case. I have wasted my time going there a few times now and wanted to leave this review for the manager or owner to see it maybe they will update the trading hours on google to stop wasting people’s time. Last time i was there during the week one day, the lady was just closing at 3pm and i was like, aren’t you open for another hour, and she told me she had to be somewhere so she will be closing. And next couple of times i have been there around the same times the place was already closed.
We organised to have our wedding at Glasshaus Inside, and the venue is absolutely stunning, especially when set up for the day. However communication from staff could have been much better. For example, we were told that we MUST pick up our items before 11am the next day, but the venue was closed both mornings when we tried to do so, and we were not able to get in touch with them. In addition, there were several small issues that came up before, during, and after the ceremony that despite the venue having been briefed on the plan for the day, and there was minimal efforts made to fix the issues at the time. The entire experience wasn’t unpleasant, and the venue itself was worth the effort, but it did feel rather disorganised, and made planning a wedding much more stressful than it could have been.
This is absolutely our favourite place for plants (and we have been to quite a few in our quest to find an indoor tree!). They have a unique collection of indoor plants and trees in such a beautiful setting, but it was Jacinta who really made it a wonderful experience. She is a delight and really took the time to listen to our plant needs. We also enjoyed meeting Ben who delivered our tree to us, and he was equally warm and kind.
I have been to quiet a few nurseries around Melbourne, but this is by far my favourite. They have a good collection of plants, decent prices and best of all Jacinta who works and manages the nursery is beyond helpful. She is so lovely, friendly and willing to answer any questions you have about your plants at home and/or your new purchase.
